The Vigor2820 series is a universal router for ADSL, cable, 3G mobile and satellite.
The Vigor2820 series has an ADSL2/2+ built-in modem and a second WAN port that can take on any broadband access, including ADSL2/2+, cable or satellite broadband. Like its Vigor2800 predecessor, a USB 2.0 port allows connection with a 3G HSDPA broadband modem. This flexible second WAN port and/or USB port allows diversification of broadband accesses, ensuring full service availability in mission critical operations. The two WANs can work in separate, load balance or failover modes.
One of the four Ethernet ports is a Gigabit port allowing faster sharing of larger files, such as video or media documents among network users.
The Vigor2820 series has IGMP protocol and full multi-PVCs functions (both are required for IPTV applications), 32 tunnels of hardware-based VPN, and Vigor2820Vn supports 2 x FXS and 1 x FXO ports for VoIP.
The Wireless models, Vigor2820n and Vigor2820Vn, have 802.11n Draft 2.0 technology, with up to 300Mbps throughput and four SSIDs (service set identifiers) for more flexible wireless grouping.
