Vigor2910 is equipped with 1 WAN port and 4 LAN ports, and the first LAN port, P1, can be configured to become a second WAN port. With dual WAN mode, it supports either Policy-Base Load-Balancing between the two WANs, or Failover which means in the event a WAN fails, the second WAN takes over.
Vigor2910 provides strong security features with multiple levels of firewall at both the IP and Application layers; it tackles security threats in many ways including SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection), DoS (Denial of Services), DDoS (Distributed Denial of Services), flexible access control for IM (Instant Messenger) and P2P (Peer to Peer) programs.
QoS (Quality of Service) allows flexible allocation of bandwidth of the WAN accesses. With NAT session and bandwidth management, users can prioritize the traffic types and allocate bandwidth for each WAN separately.
The wireless G models allow the wireless connection rate of up to 108Mbps with Super G™ technology and offer comprehensive security features. In addition to WEP/WPA/WPA2 encryption and MAC Address client control, they also support Wireless VLAN, 802.1 X authentications and Wireless VLAN isolation.
The V models support Voice-over-IP (VoIP), providing two separate phone ports, each can be configured for up to 6 SIP registrars and has in-built advanced call handling options.
