28-port Layer 2+ Managed 10GbE PoE+ Switch
The DrayTek VigorSwitch P2282x is a Layer 2+ Managed 10 Gbps PoE+ Switch. It features 24 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and 4 SFP+ 10Gbps fibre links for uplink/downlink. In addition to the fixed AC power input, the VigorSwitch P2282x offers a DC power input as an additional power source, which helps ensure uninterrupted operation and protects connected devices in the event of an AC power supply failure.
The VigorSwitch P2282x features 24 PoE+ ports with a 400W power budget, making it ideal for a wide range of IoT applications, including LED lighting, POS systems, motion sensors, IP cameras, and more. Equipped with a 12/54V DC backup power supply, the P2282x ensures continuous protection for critical data from connected PD devices while maintaining uninterrupted network connectivity.
With support for advanced Layer 3 features, including DHCP Server and VLAN Routing, the P2282x enhances network efficiency and ensures uninterrupted LAN connectivity, even during gateway downtime. This makes it an ideal solution for networks facing growing traffic demands.

Advanced Layer 2+ Features
DHCP Server & VLAN Routing
Improving LAN Network Sustainability and Efficiency, with or without a Router
In an extensive LAN network, much traffic does not go to the Internet but to the servers within the LAN. For example, IP cameras store videos on the NVR, IP phones register with the PBX, and clients access the file server, among other things.
A Layer 2+ switch with DHCP server and VLAN routing functionalities, positioned to receive traffic before the router, is ideal for distributing the load on your router and ensuring your LAN network operates continuously, even when the router is offline.
The VigorSwitch assigns dynamic IP addresses to as many as 8 VLANs as a DHCP server. With VLAN routing, the VigorSwitch accommodates up to 512 routes.

Bind IP to MAC
Reserve an IP Address for an Important Device
As a DHCP server, the layer 2+ VigorSwitch assists in reserving IP addresses for your essential devices that users access frequently.

ONVIF-Friendly
Recognise ONVIF devices in different VLANs, display surveillance topology, provide UI for video streaming and device maintenance

Centralised Hierarchical View
The VigorSwitch P2282x automatically detects ONVIF devices and displays the topology of connected IP cameras and NVRs.
Image Viewing
Images filmed by IP cameras can be viewed directly within the VigorSwitch P2282x web UI.
Device Management
Basic configuration/maintenance tasks for ONVIF devices such as remote reboot, factory reset and changing network settings can all be done remotely from the VigorSwitch P2282x web UI.

ONVIF Snapshot Alert
Locating Non-Responding IP Cameras Made Easy

Managing a network of IP cameras across multiple locations can be challenging, especially when cameras stop functioning without an easy way to detect or restore them. The VigorSwitch P2282x solves this by regularly pinging ONVIF IP cameras and capturing periodic snapshots. If a camera becomes unresponsive, the switch automatically sends an email alert with the latest snapshot, allowing for quick diagnosis and resolution.
With PoE VigorSwitch models, the switch can also provide first aid by automatically power cycling the particular port to reboot the camera.
IP Conflict Detection & Prevention
Conflict Detection
The VigorSwitch continuously monitors the network environment and alerts the administrator of any IP address conflicts

Conflict Prevention
To enhance network stability, the VigorSwitch identifies misconfigured or malicious IP hosts and blocks them before any damage occurs.

Device Check

Ping Check for LAN Devices
A VigorSwitch can continuously ping the LAN devices, and when the device stops responding to the ping, it will instigate a PoE cycle to the associated port (PoE model only) and/or send an email alert to the administrator.
LAN Management
An all-in-one management platform for Vigor devices on the LAN side.
Automatic Device Discovery
Connect a Vigor Switch or AP to the LAN side of the Vigor Router, and the router will auto-discover the device to allow it to be managed.
Provisioning
Basic settings may be done on the Vigor Router, and then provisioned to the managed Vigor Switches or APs.
Monitoring
The Vigor Router provides a centralized view of managed devices, so you can monitor and check the status of Vigor Switches or APs connected.
System Maintenance
Perform factory resets, save/restore configuration backups, or trigger reboots remotely from the Vigor Router’s interface. There is no need to log in to each device’s management page.
